Frank Littleton Wayne was born in New Mexico on August 1, 1901 to John T. and Ida Eudora Wayne. The family lived in Hope, NM in 1910 and by 1920 had settled in Dona Ana County. Frank entered NMAMC in 1922 and graduated in 1926 with a degree in Agriculture. While at school he met and married his wife Hazel. He went on to work as a county agent, first in Lea County, then Sierra County and in 1937 became the county agent for Bernalillo County. His family grew during this period with the birth of his two sons, Lloyd and Edwin. In September 1942, he took leave from his job as County Agent to join the USAAF. He spent time in the states, primarily at the Barrage Balloon School at Camp Tyson, Illinois. Then in June of 1944, he was assigned to the 13th Traffic Regulatory Group and shipped to England. Three weeks after arriving, on June 24, 1944 he died as a result of injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He is buried at the Cambridge American Cemetery. Captain Frank Littleton Wayne was 42 years of age at the time of his death.
